We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of the AHRC NYC Leadership Development Training Series! Originally conducted by our partners at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. for senior leadership, this valuable training is now being delivered by our talented in-house trainers, aimed at further strengthening leadership skills across the entire Leadership Team members of our organization.
These training sessions are designed to complement and build upon the Manager Responsibilities Workshop led by Marco Damiani, AHRC NYC’s CEO. The sessions will strengthen and expand our staff’s leadership capabilities with a focus on critical leadership responsibilities and alignment on key priorities. The series will support a bright future for our organization and the people we support.
The Leadership Team has been assigned to five cohorts and will be trained over the course of eleven months, concluding in July 2025. The first cohort was extremely engaged and completed its four sessions:
- Communicating Effectively,
- Managing Conflict and Difficult Conversations,
- Creating a Culture of Engagement & Building Trust;
- Managing Priorities & Delegating Successfully
At the conclusion of the fourth session in fall 2024, Marco presented attendees with a Certificate of Completion in recognition of their commitment to enhancing their leadership skills.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible trainers who made this series possible. Their dedication, time, and expertise have been invaluable: Christine Bishara, Liana Carpenzano, Laura Cucinotta, John Goodson, Kate Hoy, Yuliya Khripunkova, Mary Anne Killeen, Gloria Liu, Allyson McGlynn, Daisy Santiago, Brian Simon, Michael Weinberg, Steve Williams, and Kent Willingham.
The feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive! Attendees shared that the trainings were not only informative and engaging but also provided a valuable opportunity to connect, learn, and grow alongside peers and counterparts from different departments.
We are excited to continue offering these training sessions and to expand this initiative for all agency management.
